My first choice as well, though I prefer it in black.

It's a 1921, but I'm a huge fan of this copper-bodied Rolls

Why, oh why, did you have to limit it to the '30s.

If we're talking Talbot-Lagos, honestly I prefer the T-150 CSS version. It's even more refined, and I love the drama the chrome strakes add. Easily the most beautiful car ever produced.

Auburn 852 SC boat-tail: Daring, not entirely well integrated, still sexy. You have to love the chrome exhaust ducts hanging out of the car and the little "Supercharged" badge.

Really this is an excellent surface concept carried out with less care for proportion than the greats and tons of flair. If this car were a girl, it'd be flipping its hair over its shoulder.

1937 Cord S C Phaeton: I could look at it for days. The Auburn's chrome exhaust ducts strike back with a vengeance, this time slightly shorter and, in my opinion, better looking. And that front, oh my God, that front- it's like pure Bauhaus porn with the flip-up headlights and that perfect grille.

And, just for fun, have a 4.5 liter Bentley. (I was going to put a Type 57 Atlantic here, but on second look, that thing really doesn't flow right.)

I don't like the disk wheels as much as the spokes, but it does have presence in dark colours. Also, it's quite a bit smaller than most people realize...

Totally agree, I'd rather have the spokes/knock-offs, but I'd rather clean the discs!

180~200 HP in a vehicle that weighs ~2600LBS, sounds about like the Fiesta ST. I'd really love to drive one of these some day...

You and me both! Closest I have come is a '62 and a '63 Giulietta Spider. The 62 had it's 1300 replaced with a 2 liter/5 speed Alfa combo and the 63 was an Alfa mechanics own 2 liter swap that everyone just referred to as Nasty Fast. That sleeved out little bad boy had grunt and grip for days. The ride/drive in the 62 made me love old Alfa's, the ride/drive in the 63 made want an old Alfa. Neither of them were even close to 180~200 HP. I can't imagine.

Those little old Spiders are fantastic cars, even the later 105/115 chassis cars are just great fun. Maybe they aren't quite as sharp as the coupes, but they're the only vehicles that have made me consider owning a convertible.
